Coming home!!!

Finally we are all coming home.  I am so excited to have Christian come home.  Yesterday when we got to the NICU this is what we saw

SO much better.  What a difference a couple of hours can make.  Yest was a hard night for me, the respiratory therapist tried to wean Christian down to 7 liters of flow but he just didn't tolerate it well.  During the day they didn't try and had said with babies if you push to hard to fast they push back and usually require more flow and it takes longer to wean.  So I felt so discouraged thinking "oh no, how long will he need this flow".  Well we were also told when he decides to be better he just will be.  How true.  Sunday morning he looked like a pretty healthy baby. 

 Because Christian was doing so well they had Daniel and I "room in".  That is where we stay in a private room with Christian through the night and he proves he is well enough to go home.  He has to eat so often and wake himself up to eat, bowels have to work right and most important he has to breath normally.  They discontinued everything but his EKG monitor and  told us they would check on us occasionally.

Well he did just fine so Today July 26, 2010 Christian came home!!

The girls were SO excited!! I could hear them screaming when they heard us ring the doorbell.  We got home around 2-3 and they had been waiting all morning.  They sure love him and were so excited to finally get to hold him and be close to him.

Welcome home, son!!  We are so glad to have you here with us!!
